New MyGIG Software Application RHR-RHW-RHP 2.126

Note this is the next full release after 2.120
The 2.169 version was a temporary patch released by Harman Becker.
If you have 2.169, you should load 2.126

[Example, if the temperature is 107F the screen will display 07.] (Domestic U.S. only)
• Cancel key inoperative after pressing the international button.
• iPhone4 dial not possible after second call.
• Missing Travel Link buttons from SAT menu (Domestic U.S. only).
• Devices button disabled in VES menu.
• Unable to route to a recent route after a map update.
• Remove Travel Link disclaimer popup (Domestic U.S. only).
• Duplicate phone numbers in popup after pressing the international button.
• During active call and on hold, DIAL button should be displayed (not “TONE” button).
• International button not visible.
• Point of interest (POI) Search enhancements.
• When video in remote DVD player is stopped devices button wrongly labeled as DVD.
• iPod, track selection enhancements.

You think RER systems are going to be getting an update soon?

I'm not expecting one. They are supposedly going to continue updating the older radios via a website they will create. We will see.

Okay, with 50.00.07 loaded, the new map disc from navteq would not work.

On a hunch, i downgraded the radio software to 33.01.23 and the nav disc worked.

so you may have to to go back a step in your radio software, load the new maps, and then update the radio software to the latest.

These updates still active? Cause I have a 2010 300 that lord knows if the REN deck was updated (I know my dealer didn't reset it because it still had personal information from the previous user on it still), and I would like help doing an update process once I get the info from the deck.

BTW, found this site after searching high and low for updates, got forwarded here cause mofv was long gone...

Are you sure it is a REN?

It should be an RBZ in 2010, I think.

Let me know for sure and I will see which software I still have available.

REN stopped being supported a while ago. I believe 9.292 was the last update for it.

RBZ I will need to check on.

You are right, my bad. It's RER. For some reason my mind thought REN meant it had the navigation.

What should be my upgrade path? It's at least in the 2.### phase of things, but might need a bit more...

I also think my hard drive is going out as well. A lot of MP3's I loaded onto it play 6 seconds of silence, send a snap to the speakers and move onto the next track. That, or I think it might have to do that they are 320Kbs mp3's

Thanks!

The hard drive could be bad. The N/A for Gracenote is not normal.

Has the dealer offered to update? If they have then let them get it working. They can typically get a refurb.

Latest software is 2.404
Latest Gracenote is 4620

Try deleting all of the music and pics and see if that fixes the storage problem.

You can try loading the Gracenote update and see what happens. You'll need a DVD.

The OS/personal files/Nav data/Gracenote DB are on different HD partitions.

The radio uses the QNX real time operating system. Ordinary software won't touch the hard drive. :biggreen:

The hard drive is very easy to replace.

When I got the car (a couple weeks ago), I went to the media manager and deleted all the pictures and music left on the system by the previous owner. Would a factory reset from the engineer menu reset everything? I tried to do a hard drive test, but it sat and did nothing.
